Who? Retained, struggling or disengaged students currently in grades 6-8
What? Academic recovery for ELA & math with daily SEL lessons and enrichment. Partnership with Project Pneuma.
When? 6 weeks: 6/28-8/5; full day program 8:30-3:30 M-Th.

Middle School English Learners Program

Who? Students in grades 6 to 8 who receive ESOL services
What? Program supports EL students with interrupted learning in grades 6-8 with math and literacy intervention and support
When? 6 weeks: 6/28-8/5; full day program 8:30-3:30 M-Th.

Baltimore Urban Debate League (BUDL)

Who? 3-8th Grade Students        
What? Provides in-person speech and debate techniques as well as STEM and other enrichment activities
When? 6 weeks: 6/28-8/5, Mondays - Thursdays, Full-day: 9:00am-3:00pm
Where? 4 sites: Walter P. Carter, Garrett Heights, Cherry Hill, and Western High School

Elev8 Baltimore CDF Freedom Schools

Who? 440 Current 2-7 Grade Students

What? Freedom Schools is a literacy intensive summer experience, rooted in the civil rights movement.  Freedom Schools uses an intra-generational servant leadership model to expose students to culturally affirming common core aligned literature.  Students engage in literacy-focused activities for approximately 3,960 minutes/ designed to minimize summer learning loss.
When? 6 weeks: 6/28-8/5, Full-day: 9:00am-3:00pm
Where? 8 sites - Arundel, Abbottston, Collington Square, Cherry Hill, Edgewood, Cecil, Sandtown-Winchester, Southwest Baltimore Charter

Who? 6-8 grade students
What? 6-8 grade students will learn what it is like to be an inventor, programmer, and engineer through engaging and fun Robotics activities
