In-Person Learning Information

In-Person Learning agreements have been sent to K-2 parents.

K-2 parents will have until 03/05 to sign and return the In-person learning agreement.

3-5 parents will receive in-person agreements this week.

We have closed out our In-Person opt-in survey. We anticipate another opportunity for families to opt-in to In-Person learning 4th Quarter. We will keep you informed. For families, continuing with virtual learning we will provide you with an updated schedule on Wednesday, 02/17. We had to make some adjustments to ensure our teachers could service both our In-person and virtual classes. I am delighted to report that we did not have to make many changes to homeroom assignments. Our teachers were very adamant about the importance of keeping their students. We were able to arrange the schedule in a way to minimize homeroom changes. Both our In-Person and Virtual families will be able to view the updated schedule via Google Classroom, Seesaw, and our school website starting Wednesday, February 17th. We will have a staggered dismissal for our In-Person students.

For families choosing to participate in our in-person learning option, we wanted to provide you with some additional updates. We will also host town hall meetings on Thursday 02/18/2021 at 9 a.m. and 5: 30 p.m. We will email our In-Person learning families the zoom meeting ID number next week. We will also have an opportunity for you to visit a class In-person to see the layout on 02/26/2021. We will provide you with sign-up information next week to come to view a classroom. Due to the number of families who have opted into In-Person learning, we have to move to a AA/BB schedule. That means your child will come to school on either Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday. Your child will come to school In-Person for two days per week and connect virtually the other three days. We had to adopt a two-day model to ensure we kept the class sizes low. We assigned the days based on several factors including siblings and class size. You will receive notification of your child’s A day or B day status on Tuesday, February 16th. This information will be posted by your child’s teacher on Google Classroom (1-5th grade) or SeeSaw (K) on 02/16/2021. We will also post a supply list by Tuesday 02/16/2021.

Additional In-Person Updates/Reminders:

Parents will need to sign an in-person learning agreement before students can attend the school. We anticipate having this ready for you to review by 02/18/2021.

Students will attend In-Person via a hybrid model (A day) Monday/Tuesday or (B-Day) Thursday/Friday. You will receive your student’s A or B assignment on 02/16/2021.

Students must wear uniforms and wear a mask every day, covering their nose.

Students need to bring their devices each day fully charged. Teachers will let you know if they do not need the device that day.

We will have mask breaks outside with students 6-feet apart, weather permitting.

Students will need to be picked up promptly. We do not have before or aftercare. This is essential to ensure the integrity and safety of our pods. We do not have the staff to hold students beyond the school hours.

Students will be screened upon entry.  Please do not leave your child before he/she is cleared.

Thanks to our amazing teachers we have been able to keep homeroom changes to a minimum. We will notify individual families in advance of any changes to teacher assignments.

No visitors are allowed in the school during the school day. Parents must drop students off outside the building as we must limit the number of visitors in the building. Visitors/Parents will not be allowed to visit classrooms during the school day. You must have an appointment to enter the building. Our top priority is to keep our students and staff safe. We must limit the number of visitors to our building. All parent/teacher conferences will remain virtual. Teachers will not be available to have in-person conferences at this time.

We will schedule appointments prior to the building opening for parents to visit a classroom on Friday, 02/26/2021. Parents will also have the option to view pictures and videos of the classroom that will be posted by the teacher on 02/26/2021.

Students will need to bring their own water bottles to avoid sharing the water coolers.

A limited supply list will be posted by your child’s teacher no later than 02/16/2021.

We will host In-Person town hall meetings on Thursday 02/18/2021 at 9 a.m. and 5: 30 p.m. We will email our In-Person learning families the zoom meeting ID number next week.
